J-Mill Golf Outing 2011
SAVE THE DATE FOR 2012....AUGUST 13TH! Golf Outing and Dinner
Once again we have exceeded the $10,000.00 mark for fundraising as a result of this Golf Outing!
This last year, once again, the J-Mill Memorial Golf and Dinner, in memory of Jonathan was a huge success. This year, because of the generosity of many businesses and individuals, we were able to raise over $10,000.00. We are happy to once again be able to donate to many worthwhile Causes and to deserving Lew Port seniors through Spirit of 76 Memorial Scholarship
This annual event is important for many reasons. To keep Jonathan’s legacy of love, kindness and compassion alive in all of us, to build funds in order to contribute to those in need, particularly those who are disadvantaged due to poverty and to provide a deserving Lew-Port senior with a scholarship each year. Jonathan loved those who needed love and was always there for others. We honor that beautiful spirit by continuing to carry his mission forward.
While we continue to desire to keep the golf outing strong, we also recognize the desire of many to participate but are not golfers. Therefore, we are growing the “dinner only” option of the event as well.
Organizations that are designated as 501C-3’s can receive such funds. Each year a senior at Lewiston Porter, nominated for personality characteristics similar to Jonathan’s, receives a scholarship as well.
Should you know anyone that would like to give to this charitable fund, donations are always welcome.
Once again, know that we appreciate each and every gesture that has been made to help us build this fund and to support us through this long, challenging journey without our dear son. with gratitude, the Miller family, Kevin, Jeannine, Lauren, Alyssa and Jonathan, in spirit and love
